Engineering Management Institute Speech Preparation: Preparing and Not Preparing for Presentations the best way the viewers reacted. They have been engaged, asking questions, and paying attention. I led they usually adopted. People visited with me after the presentation on numerous elements and told me they loved the presentation, so I knew they were listening. I knew it went well and analysis comments confirmed the audience enjoyed the speech. The different presentation â€" not so much. Thankfully there were no comments on the evaluations in regards to the second presentation, but I know it was less effective communication. There was a stark distinction between the 2 shows that day. One I labored onerous to place together with well-outlined goals and many apply. One I threw together at the final minute. One was gratifying for the audience and conveyed the knowledge. The different was painful for the viewers and transferred little, if any info. The results bare out the details â€" time spent organizing and outlining your presentation matters â€" even if you're an skilled public speaker. Practicing your shows will give markedly completely different outcomes. That day the same speaker gave two completely different shows â€" one good and one unhealthy â€" and it was planning that separated them.
